Usage Guide

1. Enter Content

Type the content you want to encode in the text box. Supports various types of data:

URL Links: https://example.com (most common, for website promotion, product links, etc.)
Plain Text: Any text content, such as contact information, product descriptions
Email Address: mailto:example@email.com (scan to send email directly)
Phone Number: tel:+8613800138000 (scan to dial directly)
WiFi Info: WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;; (scan to connect to WiFi directly)
QR code preview is generated in real-time. Longer content creates more complex QR codes, making them harder to scan. Consider using URL shortener services for long URLs.

2. Choose Style Template

Click on a style template card to quickly apply preset design styles. We offer 8 carefully designed templates:

Minimal: Classic black and white squares, suitable for formal occasions and business use
Bubble: Dot style, pink theme, suitable for fashion brands and social media
Smooth: Rounded design, purple gradient, modern feel
Elegant: Refined rounded corners, cyan theme, suitable for premium brands
Sharp: Angular design, red theme, bold and striking
Modern: Rounded dots, purple theme, tech-savvy
Ocean: Blue gradient, fresh and natural
Sunset: Orange-red gradient, warm and energetic

3. Customize Color

Click the color picker to customize the QR code's primary color. Color affects the overall visual effect:

Dark Colors: Black, dark gray, dark blue, etc., suitable for formal occasions, high scan success rate
Bright Colors: Red, orange, pink, etc., eye-catching, suitable for marketing
Brand Colors: Use corporate or product brand colors to enhance brand recognition
Avoid using too light colors (like light yellow, light gray), which reduce scan success rate. Ensure sufficient contrast with the background (white).

4. Upload Logo (Optional)

Click the 'Upload Logo' button to add a center icon to the QR code, enhancing brand recognition:

Supported Formats: PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, SVG
Recommended Size: Square images 200x200 pixels or larger
Logo Size: Automatically adjusted to 20% of QR code size to ensure scannability
Remove Logo: Click the X button in the top-right corner of the preview
Logo automatically gets a white background to ensure sufficient contrast with the QR code. Use simple icons or text logos, avoid overly complex patterns.

5. Download QR Code

Click the 'Download QR Code' button to save the generated QR code as a PNG image:

File Format: PNG (transparent background, high quality)
Image Size: 1024x1024 pixels (suitable for printing and web use)
File Naming: qrcode.png (can be modified when saving)

FAQ

Q: How much content can a QR code contain?

A: Theoretically, a QR code can store about 4000 characters, but more content makes the QR code more complex and harder to scan. Recommendations: Keep URL links under 200 characters, plain text under 500 characters. For long URLs, use URL shortener services like Bitly or TinyURL before generating the QR code.

Q: Why can't it be scanned?

A: Possible reasons: ① Insufficient color contrast (e.g., light QR code on white background) ② QR code too small or print blurry ③ Logo too large blocking key information ④ Content too long making QR code too complex ⑤ Poor scanning angle or lighting. Suggestions: Use dark QR codes, ensure clear printing, keep logo under 20%, use short URLs, scan face-on in good lighting.

Q: Can I modify the content of a generated QR code?

A: No. Once a QR code is generated, its content is fixed and cannot be modified. If you need to change the content, you must generate a new QR code. If you need QR codes with variable content, consider using 'dynamic QR code' services (like QR Code Generator, Bitly), which generate a fixed short link QR code that you can update to point to different target URLs anytime.

Q: Do QR codes expire?

A: Static QR codes (generated by this tool) have no expiration date. As long as the content remains valid (e.g., URL not expired), the QR code works permanently. However, if the URL the QR code points to expires or is deleted, scanning will fail to access it. Dynamic QR code expiration depends on the service provider's policy.

Q: How to improve scan success rate?

A: ① Use dark QR codes (black, dark blue, etc.) on white background ② Ensure QR code is large enough (at least 2x2 cm when printed) ③ Keep logo under 20% of QR code area ④ Use short URLs to reduce QR code complexity ⑤ Use high-resolution images for printing ⑥ Avoid using on reflective or curved surfaces.

Q: Is the generated QR code secure?

A: Completely secure. All calculations are performed locally in your browser, data is never uploaded to servers, completely offline processing. Your content and logo images are only processed on your device.

Q: Can I use it for commercial purposes?

A: Yes. QR codes generated by this tool can be used freely for personal and commercial purposes without authorization. However, note: ① QR code technology itself is an open standard ② You need to ensure the legality of QR code content (like links, text) ③ If using brand logos, ensure you have usage rights.
